MY Lens: the Way I Practice Wellness

Today, my work is rooted in presence, respect, and informed guidance. Whether you are stepping onto your mat or navigating a major life transition, my role is to walk beside you with presence, guidance, and deep respect for your path.

Wulu Wellness exists to create spaces where you feel grounded, capable, and deeply supported in claiming your experience as your own.

Hey! I’m Nik Nichols, the Founder of Wulu Wellness.

I blend science and intuition, structure and softness, movement and meaningful support. With a background in biology and public health, I have always been drawn to understanding how systems connect. Over time, that curiosity expanded inward. I began to see that we are ecosystems too.

Our bodies.
Our emotions.
Our growth.

Yoga taught me how powerful it is to feel at home in your own body. Birth work deepened that understanding, showing me how transformative it is to be supported through life’s most vulnerable and powerful seasons. 

The Roots of my work

My path into this work began long before I ever called myself a doula or a yoga instructor.

I have always felt a natural pull toward caring for others. As a teenager, I babysat, taught dance to young children, and felt completely at home supporting families. That nurturing energy has always been part of who I am.

At the same time, I found myself equally drawn to the elderly. At our dance studio, the grandmother who helped at the front desk loved to share her stories. As her Alzheimer’s progressed, the stories repeated. I could still tell you her favourites with the same amount of detail as her, because I listened as if it were the first time, every time. That experience shaped me deeply. It taught me patience, dignity, and the quiet power of presence.

My academic path began in kinesiology and later transitioned into biology, where I explored plant medicine and psychology. After graduating, I worked as an IBI therapist supporting children on the autism spectrum. That role strengthened my ability to meet people exactly where they are.

When yoga entered my life, everything began to connect. Through breath and movement, I saw how powerful it is when someone feels steady and supported in their own body.

Over time, these experiences wove together and naturally led me to the work I do today. They guide how we dream, build, and live wellness together.

Through movement, guidance, and steady support, I help you create a foundation rooted in trust, confidence, and connection. I walk beside you, with presence and respect, reminding you that you already carry the strength and wisdom you need.
